Light Bicycle Restoration - Help Needed

Hello everyone, ive just bought a second hand GT Avalanche 2.0 disc and im going to upgrade it and make it like new. There are about 8 minor scratches, 2 deep scratches, 3 scuffs and 1 chip out of the aluminium frame. The bike is mint apart from this!

I was just wondering, what can i use to get the scratches out?
I know that with cars you can get a paint restoration T cut chemical which makes it like new, is there a similar chemical for alum bike frames?

Do you think Tcut will do it?
Also (completely different matter) How do i know if wheels are disc compatible?
