I wonder when it will be released on DVD.Just in case anyone is interested, I emailed the production company yesterday, and got a reply this morning:

Accent Film Entertainment have the rights for the DVD release which will be out in early June across most stores in Australia. I know they will definately be in Target stores and JB Hi Fi etc.
Thanks for your enquiry and I hope you enjoy the DVD, we threw a couple of extras on there and our commentary has been said to be quite amusing, I reveal all the stuff you wouldn't have picked up from the film!

This one seems like the cycling movie of the year except for the 'gay pride' pretend Worlds shirt to placate the lawyers at the UCI (AKA WCF)

Detour de france was reviewed in the Age quite a while back. I think there was a small screening somewhere in Melbourne. My father has seen early cut DVD copy. A mate of his is one of the 'stars'.:)

The film is out now mate, released Australia wide on Thursday the 13th of
June so you can grab a copy by either buying one online or in most stores
i.e. Target and JB hi-fi.

A premier was held in Geelong about 2 weeks ago. A few people I know went (I bloody had to work :mad: ) and reckoned it was really good.

Apparently there is a US distributor. I think (not sure) its World Cycling Productions but I'm not 100% sure.

I've seen it. It's piss funny.
It's also something you could show to non cyclists and have them appreciate it, and learn something about cycling in the process.
ezydvd have it in their catalog, out of stock right now but I've ordered a copy.

I saw the premier in Geelong and I really enjoyed it. It is a good laugh and I agree that persons without an interest in cycling would also enjoy it.

My cycling widow wife watched it with me, despite her dislike of cycling (which has grown as my obsession has developed).
Not only did she like, but we're now talking about actually going over, one day, and see Le Tour first hand.
