Kinash: Utter Failure

So five years after he was first elected, Bill Kinash, former Canadian Cycling Association President has done for the country what he did for Saskatchewan Cycling: led it to utter, dismal failure.

Kinash who is now a Director at Large should resign. Indeed, the entire Board of Directors of the CCA should resign for deceiving and lying to its members and the public. Sport Canada should take the sport into receivership and hold new emergency elections.

Kinash had Rose Mercier conduct a management study. We went through three years of supposed system and procedure changes. Check and balances, were supposed to have been instituted. We were told the organization is now sound. All the elements were supposed to be in place for the sport to take off. A Finance Director was hired. An MBA with no cycling experience was hired as the Chief Operating Officer of the CCA. A Marketing Director (again with no cycling experience) was hired and Communications Director was hired.

THEY ARE ALL GONE!!! It has all fallen apart.

The entire house of cards, the lie, has crashed to the ground.

The CCA is a shambles, a complete disaster.

EXACTLY AS I PREDICTED.

Resign Kinash, you have shamed the sport. Mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake was committed.Resign Directors, you failed us.

Look at when this all happened, just as the season begin to take full swing. It could not have come at a worse time. Every event, all selections, most projects are now at risk. 2008 is an Olympic year. Canadian cycling will be lucky to even field a team with the personnel in place now.

Turn to the proven professional in the sport.

Now.

Bill, you're an embarrassment, a laughingstock.

Quit.

Stay away from cycling so we can re-build.

Fat Ass,
This was never really about the CCA or what they are doing but about Bill having fired you because you couldn't do the job. Hasn't it become clear through previous posts that you have not been able to do any of the cycling related jobs that you have claimed, always resulting in failure and firing! Lies Ed told us from his dillusional little world of failure. Just look at your web site. Fat ass sitting at his desk with a failure of a web site. You can't even look after that crapy web site never mind looking after your fat ass. Look how out of shape you are. How could you possible know anything about cycling with a body like that. That picture is just screaming "Jenny Craig" and the desperate need for a good grooming. You're an embarasement to yourself, how could you even think to post such a picture. The least you could do was photo shop your head onto a better body.

Nice try, fella.

My accomplishments in the sport speak for themselves. Thirty years of success. Numerous provincial titles on road and track, even a national championship medal for myself. Co-owner and manager of the best cycling team in Canadian history. Period.

Direrctor of the only Women's Road World Cup in North America in 1999. I raised that race from the dead along with Stephane LeBeau.

One of the best, if not the best writer on cycling in Canada.

The Nationals I ran in Hamilton went well, especially given the contraints, failures and mismanagement by Hamilton2003. (Why would they have hired me in Hamilton if my work had not been excellent in montreal n 199?)

My work at Hamilton 2003 was too good if anything. I tried to hard to defend the sport despite Hutsebaut and the CCA selling it out to Braley and Lumsden.

The CCA walked away from that $15,000,000 infusion of government money in the sport without one new sponsor: a complete disgrace.

Kinash's record is one of utter failure.

Everything he has touched has crumbled to dust.

Thank goodness Kinash was the only one-term CCA Presidnet in in history, the sport would not have survived two terms with him. It may not even survive now. The CCA is now in the worse shape it has been in 30 years.

Those are the facts.

The disaster I foresaw with regard to Kinash's policies and his hirings was right on target. I even predicted to within a month when Sebrango would hit the dirt.

Bill Kinash should resign from his Director-at-Large position. All members of the Board of Directors who supported him and approved his hirings should resign as well.

I had a telephone conversation today with a journalist from Quebec. Among some of the things we discussed was the disparity between the Canadian Cycling Association’s (CCA’s) TOTAL budget and that of Alpine (Skiing) Canada. They both get base funding from Sport Canada. They used to get almost the same $2.5 million each. Alpine Canada has now risen to $3.2 million while the CCA fell to $1.7 million. They are still relatively the same in that regard..

However look at the huge difference when it comes to TOTAL budgets (TOTAL budget is sponsorship, licensing, rights, fees, donations and merchandising, etc).

The CCA’s about $2.5 million while Aplin Canada’s is OVER $20 MILLION!!!!!!! (this figure was given to me today by Alpine Canada, they would not be more specific. But don't take my word for it, please check it all out on your own)

The nearly $17 million difference can all be attributed to better management and marketing of the sport.

That is what Bill Kinash has cost Canadian cycling, about $17 million dollars. Go away Kinash and take all Board Members who support you.

Oh poor Eddie, you're so sweet in you delusion.

Let's validate your facts. It's always so easy to make big statements, but are you able to back them up. Is there someone who can attest to your greatness? The disciples went out in pairs so one could attest to the truthfulness of the other. You seem like the kind of person who would keep every email sent to him. You must have some emails in support from all those you have sent to the provincial cycling associations, cycling sponsors, the CCA and every other member of the cycling community. There must be some that say, "Ed, you know what you are talking about, we need you". Post a couple of those emails to create some credibility.
I recall a post from some guy who ran a cycling team in the states. It seemed to refute your earlier statements of how he begged you to join and how you were the greatest director/cycling mind alive. Something about you begging to join the team and how short lived your stay was as well as the rejoicing by the riders when you were told to leave. You need to post those emails in support of you to develop some credibility. We all want to believe what you say, but you just seem like some bitching lunatic. You *****, *****, *****, no plan, no way to help, just *****. Everything you say is proven a lie and you have no plan. Did you get a supportive email from Brett? You express your support of him as Director, he must have thanked you. Do you have anything for the people to validate your claims?

Fausto Coppied

Not that I need to prove anything to you, you're a nobody, but here are few recommendations, letters of support and simple email exchanges with all types of people in the sport. You can find my accomplishments posted everywhere, just Google me.

I always like this one:
A recommendation from Patrick Van de Wille
To the CCA, I'd like to offer a recommendatioin for my employment from the illustrious cycling writer and TV Commentator, Patrick Van de Wille. As you are well aware Mr. Van de Wille has been around the sport for a long time, not as long as me, but long nevertheless, many people think he knows his stuff.

Here is what Mr. Van de Wille had to say about my cycling knowledge:

Hi Ed:

Thanks for the reminder to turn off the auto reply.

Sure I’ll support you for the job. I’ve been a bit of a critic lately on the national centres paper and on Sprockids. You might not want me!

Two requests though. Try to avoid the personal stuff, and let people hang on more on their actions (or lack of them). Two, can you really involve the volunteer side? I’ve been really disappointed with Huts and the current regime, especially Kris Westwood, who goes off half-cocked all the time. I think Steve is better, but he’ll get toasted soon if Kris keeps up his arrogant style.

Lesley has been very quiet, and has not responded to my offer to help with a platform and some announcements. Have you spoken with her?

What about Blanshard as president? I’ve always been impressed with him, though you may not because he was the one driving the denial of the license to Jeanson. I think that took some balls to ask questions before giving her a license.

Cheers

Lister

Why is this man smiling?

http://www.canadiancycling.ca/roadnationals/images/pic_president_canada.jpg

Bill Kinash of Regina Saskatchewan. The worst President in Canandian Cycling Associaition history and current CCA Director-at-Large.

He has almost singlehandedly killed the sport.

The CCA walked away from a $15,000,000 investment in the Hamilton 2003 Road World Cycling championships without one new sponsor. Why? In large part because Kinash, the idiot, did not hire a Marketing Director for 18 months.

When he did hire a Marketing Director he hired a woman who failed at Soccer Canada, who failed at Skate Canada and who had ZERO cycling exeprience. He hired a women to market the sport the that had never been to a bike race. She quit after 19 months, taking with her over $100,000. Once again the CCA does not have anybody in Marketing.

Kinash, who nevers learns from the many mistakes he makes, hired another Director General for the sport from a coaching association where she never put on a single competiton. This woman also has ZERO cycling exeprience and now she is running the sport for the country, again proving Kinash is an idiot.

Kinash's last Chief Operating Offcier, another guy with ZERO cyclng experience quit after 18 months as well.

Kinash's Finance Director also quit in about the same time frame.

Due to Kinash's ineptitude and his inability to find a single dollar outside of government funding, he has now had to fire two coaches.

Can it be any more clear this clown has no idea what he is doing?

Why is this idiot smiling.

Walk away from the sport Bill, you have done enough damage.
You have proved, over and over again, you are a worthless fool.

Ed's a ped

So Ed gets fired from every job he has held, but it is never his fault. He has to live in a relative’s basement because he can't make it on his own. He fails in his personal life. It would seem that he has enough to worry about just attempting to keep his head above water. What he writes are not wrapped in the truth (that means he is full of lies), which has been proven over and over by many other people on this forum. His fragile ego is tied to one big cycling event, the World Championships, from which he was fired for being incompetent and an idiot. For this he blames one person. Amazing how much power that one person has. What about all the other people in the system? If all that power rests with one person I think that the system needs to change so that one person cannot wield that much power. Now that same power rests with a friend of Ed's, our new CCA president. If that one position was responsible for all the power in Canadian cycling and that one person was the dear friend that Ed claims him to be, you think that Ed would be a shoe in for a job at the CCA.
Again, Ed is not resting in reality.
And what about Bill? I bet he is smiling because he has a great job, no more mortgage, a couple lovely kids and he goes home every day to a wife that loves him.
I guess an apartment and the occasional prostitute is about equal to that, hey Ed.

Fausto Coppied

How about a little reality?

I never lived in anybody's basement.

I am very gainfully employed.

I live with a beautiful woman (an Operating Room Nurse) and two Labs in lovely home. About 300 people can vouch for her including Steve Bauer, Gord Fraser, Tim Lefebvre, Geoff Brown, Craig Burge, Chris Westwood and many more, since she accompanied me to the Biker’s Banquet in Ottawa for Gord Fraser’s retirement on Dec. 2, 2006 and met them all.

I have dozens of cycling successes to my credit while everything Kinash has set up has failed. Among my successes were 5 of 10 riders to the Olympics in 1992 and the first full team presence at a Pro World Road Championships for Canada. I was the Team Director Sportive, the most successful cycling team in Canadian history, numerous provincial championships for myself, the Directorship of the only Women's Road World Cup in North America (not fired at all from that, fella).

You forget the 2003 Canadian Championships for which I also was Competition Coordinator.

Pierre Blanchard the new CCA President inherited all of Bill Kinash's problems and failures except the new Director General Lorraine Lafrenière and Kinash was one of the people on the hiring committee for her as well.

As for your claim Knish fired me from Hamilton 2003, that is another lie. Kinash never showed up in Hamilton in 2003 until October. He did not even bother to attend the Road Nationals there in June, the first in his term. He stayed home. It was Neil Lumsden that fired me with David Braley's blessing because they wanted to siphon funds to the CFL. Hutsebaut, who was getting $35,000 under the table for his niece from France working in Hamilton illegally, went along for the ride.

Lie all you like, you anonymous coward, so many people know the truth that you simply make yourself look foolish.

Bill Kinash is a failure as a CCA President and as Director-at-large. Everything he attempted to do failed miserably.

He is a disgrace to the sport. Even Olympic Gold Medalists Lori Ann Meunzer was insulted by him and said so to Canadian Press in an interview that ran in almost every newspaper across Canada.

Resign Bill.

You have shamed the sport.

You have shamed the sport.
Your aunty only gave you a room to stay in, not the whole basement, that rotten cow. How can you live with such demeaning behavior?

Gainful behavior is a vague comment. Was that gainful at McDonalds or was it as a custodian somewhere? And wasn't there some talk about how you got that job. I think that uboat had some insight into that.

So what we know is that you were fired from two jobs, Shaklee and Worlds. What we also know is that you deny any responsibility for being an incompetent idiot and incapable of the job. You were fired because someone else had a problem. The world just doesn't understand the greatness that is Ed.

You claim that Bret wrote you a supportive email and you post it for all to see (see that he is really just putting you off but you are too stupid to realize that).

I wonder how you were received at Gord's retirement party. I can imagine the comments from those there when they saw you arrive, "****, that idiot Ed showed up, who let him in."

Lori Ann is undoubtedly a great cyclist. However, is it Bill's fault that she could not get sponsorship or do potential sponsors look at the marketability of the athlete (do they present a good public image). I don't know her, but I think her blaming Bill for problems she has is similar to you blaming Bill for your mental health problems. Or, did Bill give you syphilis during a secret love tryst? That stuff leads to mental health issues. Hey, that explains your stupidity! Why can't you see the world like everyone else, are you just "special"? Did you go to a "special" school?

Actually, I had an entire house, 3 bedrooms, dining room kitchen, living, nice fireplace, satellite TV, right by Lake St. Francis. Beautiful place about 800 metres from the golf course.

As to how I was received at the Biker Bash, here they wrote about it in Pedal Magazine:

"Biker Bash” - Retirement Party for Gord Fraser

Fund Raiser for Project Echelon

by Tim Lefebvre

December 4, 2006 – This past Saturday night was dubbed the return of the annual "Biker Bash". A combination of the resurgence of the Ottawa cycling community gathering together, combined with a retirement party for their own Gord Fraser, as well as fund-raiser for Project Echelon at Camp Fortune.

The weekend commenced with a two-hour hockey game at Ottawa U, with the southern Ontario boys consisting of Steve Bauer, Buck Miller, the Lefebvre brothers, and Rick Froner joining forces with the likes of Steve Rover, John Large, Craig Burge, Jamie Brooks, Eric Lyman, Craig DeVeer, Peter Metezuals, and Neil Crawford. Fun was had by all and plenty of big ring tales, beer and lies followed in the post-game lunch.

Along with that crew, more biking legends showed for Gord's party, as his old Magic Cuts crew from the early nineties showed up. Adam Ruppell, Chris Koberstein, Dave Spears and Jacques Landry. Also in attendance from afar was Fraser's close friend and teammate Mike Sayers. Other notables included the entertaining Ed Arzouian, Eon D'Ornellas, Geoff Brown and Fraser's old boss Bill Sikes of IME.

The mastermind behind the evening John Large, a former elite cyclist and local guru, gathered the crowd to celebrate cycling. The annual biker bash had ceased to operate since 2001, and John thought it was important to revive it, and what a better time, than now, with a chance to honor Gord. With MC Peter Metezuals behind the mic and John behind the scenes the evening was set.

John Large is also the man behind Project Echelon, an initiative to help younger cyclists in the region to enter the ranks of bike racing. One of the hurdles for younger cyclists is the enormous financial hurdle facing them as they begin, and Project Echelon is set up to help with this and many other initial obstacles.

Lori Ann Meunzer was critical of Bill Kinash because he never called to congratulate her on her gold medal for about two months. The Prime Minister called faster!!! I'll post the article if necessary.

Furthermore, when asked by the Canadian Press reporter if Kinash had any plans to market the gold medal through the CCA he said no. He is such an idiot. What kind of jerk says "no"??? At least say you're looking into it. Instead, Bill Kinash drives home the point in a national interview he didn't have a ******" clue!!!!

Is he your father?

You have to be younger given your poor writing skills.

Why would you defend such a loser?

You know you might want to check, 'cause I’ll bet your mom did the mailman, or the garbage man and Kinash only thinks he's your father.....

He is such a clown, I’d laugh but his failures have such serious consequences.
