View Full Version : Race wheels
I'm going to start racing again next year and I'm looking to get a set of race wheels. I will be doing crits, RRs and some TTs, and can only afford one set. I'm 5'7" and tip the scales at about 138lbs
I've been looking at the American Classic Carbon, Zipp 404 and Zipp 303. Any advice or experiences you've had would be appreciated.

If money doesn't count I'd choose the Zipp 303. I've heard a lot of bad things about stiffness and durability of the American classic hubs!!
Or other idea: what do you think about Corima aero or medium wheels ( take a look at: www.corima.com ). They're not as light as the Zipps but a cheap alternative (if you find a dealer in the US).
you might consider HED alps.
