SI Picture Question~Postal shoes?

I was just looking at the picture in SI showing the Postal Team riding in to Paris. The one with the
team giving the "high five" Do they have tennis shoes on? It look like laced up shoes. What did they
do, stop outside of Paris and change shoes?
