Any word on a possible disc brake PT hub? Several people spoke up in favor of these a few months back. I have been bitten by the 29 inch mountain bike wheel bug and find the better frames do not allow for rim braking.

Hi Chipotle,
Good question. I would also like to convert from a 26er to a 29er with a PT hub, so I hope a disc version becomes available soon. In addition I wonder if a 36 hole version (with disc) would be popular because I understand the current MTB PT hub only has 32 holes, yet 29ers are most popular with bigger riders who might benefit from a stronger 36 spoke hub?

I was e-mailing someone at powertap about something diffrent, but I did ask him if they were going to make a PT disk and he did say that they were working on it, and that is was a lot more difficult then one might think, good luck to them. I will buy one. In the mean time I am running disk up front and rim brakes in the rear. Other then looks it's not much diffrent the running a stan's rotor or a 140 mm rotor in the rear. I'm talking XC of coarse.
