I have a 1986 centurion pro tour 15 with suntour le tech derailleur. The rear keeps kicking to the smallest gear especially when I jump on it for a sprint or while climbing. Any fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Tighten up the shifter friction and make sure that the cable isn't moving under the anchor bolt. Make sure that the rear wheel isn't shifting in the dropouts. If you're big and powerful and you're bending the frame to cause a ghost shift, then not much you can do with that frame.

:o I checked the shifter and it was very loose. I didnt get to try it out yet, but that probably fixed it, thank you very much. Always try the simplest first I guess.
