Basle to Rotterdam along the Rhine

My husband is hoping to cycle from Basle to Rotterdam in April 2004. He would like information about the route. How much is on cycle paths? Has anyone done this? Any information welcome.

I havn't done it but have devoted a number of hour to cybercyling. It is my understanding that you can do the entire route via cycle paths. Start you web search at Bicycling Germany and then follow links from there. ADFC (German Bicycling Federation) offers maps for this route, also Bikeline Maps, and Bergstrasse Bike Books has a book in preperation (maybe now available) of this very route. Good luck I wish i were going with him!
