Guerciotti : Anyone Else Ride One ??

My previous thread referred to the new bike I'm having built up by my LBS.

It just happens to be a Guerciotti Twister.

I did a search through the forums and found no reference to these bikes at all.

Even google came up with zippo review oriented material. (Most stuff was late 80's early 90's, when they seemed to be really popular)

They've only been lightly exposed to the Australian Market, therefore relatively unheard of.

Then I took this baby for a spin and was all smiles

:D :D :D

Was on the verge of buying a Fondriest Max Carb (Dedacciai 7003, Deda Carbon Seat stays, Mizuno Fork (alloy steerer), w/ Zondas & Centaur

when the opposition shop called me.

The Bike's a Guerciotti Twister (Dedacciai Scandium 61.10 KET, Deda Black Tail 2 S/Stays, Deda MONOBOX C/Stays, Deda Black Blades Fork (Carbon Steerer). w/Zondas & CHORUS !

For the same price !

Decision was a no-brainer, especially after the ride....... except for Guerciottis being unkown to me.

The order is in (and they're generating alot of interest), and I can't wait....... but in the meantime... DOES ANYONE ELSE RIDE 'EM ??

Just hoping the reason for not seeing any is that they're not seen as CRAP !! :p

Guerciotti Twister reviewed in Nov-Dec 03 issue of Bicycling Australia.

I brough a Guerciotti bike about 16 yrs ago ( no idea what model) and was very impressed. Like you said, you don't see many of them around, just another small Italian bike builder making great bikes.

Hi there.

The Twister reviewed in Bicycling Australia is the actual bike I test rode the day before it got sent to be reviewed. I got in touch with Pat Delahunty just after he finished his test and got his opinions (which were all good) before the issue was released. This eased my mind, as I'd already ordered one. My initial test said YES, but due to the unknowns, I was still a bit nervous about my decision, so his response (and the review) was very welcome.

I ordered a Twister, but due to a mix up in the order, I got a top-o-the-range Eureka (dedacciai U2). BONUS !!

See the forum in the Bike cafe :

I'm stoked with it, and would recommend one to anyone !
