After a cracking summer, I lost all interest in my biking for a couple of weeks. Bad idea, as it was
tough to get started again. :(
Anyway, I got back into it on Monday, and have been out for my usual 12 mile ride each evening.
Until yesterday. Raining cats and dogs. I then remembered that a small downpour is no problem, it's
not all about cycling on lovely summer days.
My shoes are still soaking wet nearly 24 hours later ... think I might need to get some covers
for them ...

If it's still warm try some SD60 sandals. They won't keep your feet dry, but both sandals and
feet will dry out very quickly. Not a Cunning Plan on rough rocky trails but aside from that
they're great!
Pete.

Aye, the ride home last night was a stinker! Made it though and feel better for it (think MY shoes
are still wet too).
Still, ive wimped out and gone for a lift home tonight - my legs are aching - dont want to
overdo it!
Plus next week ill have my new MP3 player to listen to on the ol' commute.

Yes, it's easy to start taking the recent weather for granted rather than treat it as the anomaly it
really is :-) But it's been great, riding in sunhine with no rain and little in the way of wind.

Careful! Rain & MP3 player = less chance of hearing traffic?

Arrange your wet cycling shoes in front of a fan and they'll be dry in an hour. Don't put them on
radiators or in the tumble drier as the bacteria will proliferate and they'll smell horrid.

I have had this discussion on this board numerous times! I dont rely on my ears! I ALWAYS stop at
every junction and make sure i can see whats coming at me (and 99% of my ride is off road anyway!!)
:-) Lets not turn this into another "music vs traffic noise thread!"
