Depends on who I'm riding with.

For the harder rides I ride a Trek 7500FX with skinny tires. Those aero wheels love to spin fast :-)

If I'm riding with people who don't ride as much as I do I use one of the heavier bikes with fatter tires.

Oh, and it's "type" is a "city" bike... a hybrid built for speed.
