Here's my bike! It was a sunny day and I stopped by the roadside to eat some leftover bisquits - then a journalist for the local newspaper rolled up behind on his bike - peppering me with questions about the trike which a readily answered. In return he took this picture!
The bike is a german Kettwiesel TT with a power assist motor hydraulic brakes and the lot!

Ok after a lot of delays the sale on Litespeed Tuscany pushed me over the edge. They build it up over the weekend and I was fitted today. It rides and feels great. I went from 28 Lbs. on my old bike to 18 Lbs.. Even my wallet is lighter now.

You know in the UK, Europe & USA we dont know how bad things are in RSA. In this article I notices the bit "The two riders were carrying their own guns". Why? Because the place sounds rather unsafe! This last week-end I did the Wetherby to Filey Ride for charity, safety from attack was the last thing on everyones minds. Take care all.

South African cyclists arrested after shoot-out
Two South African cyclists were arrested on Sunday after a shoot-out in which they attempted to defend themselves against armed men who they claimed were trying to steal their bikes. According to reports on South African websites one of the attackers later died from gunshot wounds.

According to SAPA reports, Captain Tshisikhawe Ndou of the South African police said the two told police they were cycling along Boundary Road in Honeydew north of Johannesburg around 8am when six men armed with handguns ran into the road and tried to steal their bicycles. The two riders were carrying their own guns and in the ensuing confrontation one of the alleged robbers was shot twice in the face. His five companions ran away while he was later taken to hospital.

Ndou said police opened an attempted murder docket as a matter of procedure and the pair would spend the night in custody. They were due to appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday when the public prosecutor would take a decision on whether to pursue the case.[/QUOTE]

My new baby....

Melin Linaris. Campy Record.

The wheels are off my daily ride and I don't think they suit the "classic" lugged frame. What wheels do you think would look good?
