hi i was just about to buy a racing bike and i quite like this one. I was going to buy it from halfords for 200. im a student so cant afford that much. I cycle about 15 miles a day. would you advise this bike?Don't laugh at my "budget bike" please, I'm a student :(

Anyway, here it is. Replaced the old one a few weeks ago with this Apollo TDF-100; had some problems with the bottom bracket, luckily I replaced it with some campag parts :D

Thanks gents.When you say 'code' , what do you mean? I use imageshack to host pics and was bamboozled with links but tried them all and none worked - i just wanted a small thumbnail to show in my post that folks could click on for a larger image if they so chose.
Is there a standard format to type out when hosting a thumbnail?

Mine is an Olmo Millenium.

Sorry have no photo, which is a pity. it's a guerciotti (medium sixed Italian manufacturer). And she is a beauty. Pitch black. No logos, no nothing. Bit old by now and too classic for most modern folks (steel frame and 9-Dura Ace). But to me she is the most wonderful bike and I wouldn't trade her for another.
You may wanna check out some of the (smaller) Italian manufacturers. Sounds expensive, but there are often real good bargains, mostly from online shops.

Well here's my new baby. Just getting back into it all after about 10 years off the bike. Lovin every minute of it.

Here's mine. '05 Specialized Allez Comp Triple. Since this is my first road bike (or any bike since I was a kid), I had no intention of spending this kind of money on a bike. After riding it though, and hearing the price they gave me, I couldn't pass it up. I've had it for a week and a half.

It's AWESOME! It's super comfortable, quiet as hell, and just feels tight. Last week I was on a ride and this guy on a Cannondale passed me. As we both went over a bridge, his sounded like he had a bag full of nuts and bolts banging around. Mine chain made a bit of noise, but other than that, it was nice and quiet. (That's no slam on Cannondales, just that particular bike.)

I like it so much, that I wake up in the morning wanting to go ride it. It's the first time in my life I've actually *wanted* to work out.

As with all of them, it's got:
Aluminum frame
Carbon fork, seat stays, seat post, headset, handlebars + zertz as apporpriate
Utegra hardware except for a Dura-Ace rear derailleur
FSA G-2 crank
flat pedals that will be replaced as soon as my shoes come in
