Yeah Indeed. Newton Stem and Bars,
Record everything, it's a bit overkill for a Galileo maybe, but next season I may buy a Prince, or Prince SL and I'll move my Chorus stuff to the Galileo. I've got the Eurus wheels in the pic, a set of Ksyriums, and a set of Chorus/Open Pros for around town.
I have that Chorus Ti Seatpost, as well as a Carbon Record, and DEDA blackstick.
I used to ride very competitvely, but I've been out of the game for a while, and for three years now riding MTB's. I just bought the road bike a few months ago, and I must say its a HUGE difference over the last one I owned.
I raced a Gitane back in the 80's, and I always lusted after the Colnagos, Masi's and Pinarello's, so when I decided to buy a new road bike, I bought what I wanted, rather than what I needed :)
No regrets, I LOVE this bike. It actually had me thinking of giving up the MTB for while.
I will race a few races in the spring, and see how it goes, I may keep the Galileo for another season, and see what kind of deal I can get on a nice Prince SL in 2005.
I still need to lose about 18 more pounds before I'll feel comfortable on a road starting line. I do well in the woods, but you can't get away with quite as much on the pavement.
Nice Felt, too bad you got Shimano :) kidding...sort of.

Hey all,
here's a pic of my recently bought roadbike:
It's actually a blanco frame with LOVERDI put on it by the bikestore which sells them.
Except from the shifters (Shimano 105) everything is Shimano Tiagra. Rigida Contour rims, Specialized Armadillo anti-flats (tires)
Profile design aerobar and aqua rack. Polar S210 goes on the bikemount..
Damage: 1300 euro's, about 1400-1500 dollars I guess.

The Eurus are absolutely phenomenal. They are noticeably lighter than my training wheels, so when I put em on, I can really say the bike feels more responsive in everything. I have some pretty competitive riding buddies, so when we head out off 360 for a hill ride, I throw 'em on and the whole thing feels five pounds lighter. I use a Record Ti Cassette on those, but a Chorus steel on the other two. I really bought them to race with in the spring.

Thanks for the feedback. You echo what everyone else has said. I demo's a set of Neutrons and liked them alot. Since I live in the flatlands of the midwest I wanted to go aero versus more climb specific.

I was disappointed about the Shimano myself, it showed so poorly in the TDF with the winner!!:D

My primary training partner has a set of Neutrons on his Canny, and I really like them too. They are more "forgiving" comfort wise, but oddly, don't feel quite as rigid as the Eurus do. I dont think I'd pay the premium on the Neutrons over a good set of Record hubs and CXP rims.
I love the hum of the Eurus at speed, if the wind is at your back you can hear the blades spinning in the air, it's great.

Hehe yeah, I'm sure the five time tour winning team had nothing to do with that performance.
Seriously, shimano is fine in my book, of course its on my beloved MTB. (litespeed Pisgah for the record.)

As with everything in the TDF, the riders are what make everything work. On another note you have a great looking ride. I am looking for different bottle holders for my ride, that's why only one is in place so far. What brand are the ones on your bike?

They are TACX Tao cages,
37gms each. :)
Quite nice, and grip the bottles just right. No problems getting the botles out, but they dont FALL out.

I looked at some Tacx cages at REI earlier today. Do not know if they were the same ones. I think I will order some. Thanks for the information.

I bought everything but the Frame at Cbike. They were great. I was dealing with competitive cyclist, but I really wanted the silver frame, and they were out, so I got it at GVH, but as I said, the components came from cbike.
