Riders in Phoenix???

I am new to town and can't seem to figure out any good (safe) routes. Are there any weekday evening rides in the East Valley? Would anyone be interested in formig a group leaving from Downtown Tempe on weekday evenings or weekend mornings? Or, if anyone needs a riding partner and doesn't mind showing me around, please contact me.

Have you tried the Saturday Morning ride that meets behind Bicycle Ranch off the 101 & Frank Lloyd Wright? Leaves at 6am.

There's also some rides during the week in the same area, not sure of the details.
