Pannier Weight .. how much??

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). Just wondering

what is the average weight of your "empty" rear panniers?

I have a couple of sets of panniers. I think one set is Nashbar or
Performance and then a couple of
very old pairs.

The Nashbar or Performance seem heavy when I just picked them up.

So..

If you know???

The average weight of your rear set of panniers? Or,, even better.. each
pannier,, empty?

There's a chart somewhere that lists weights/volumes and a lot of
other obsessive details about panniers on the web somewhere. I
think it's a link off here somewhere.
