I've noticed that as soon as you two get together, the raunch-factor starts going up.:)
It's like being a fly on the wall at a girls sleepover.
Keep it going. IMHO this thread needs to get sexed up occasionally before we start getting into a serious discussion about the hidden societal commentary contained in Monty Python & the Holy Grail.
I have no idea what you're implying...I gave her that link for the article..;)

We'd better be careful we don't turn this into the JeNNSy/Crankyfeet High School Flirt thread. We'll be the only two on here if that happens. OK keep postin'......

Oh, I highly doubt that! We might be the only two posting, but there will be plenty of people "watching." They're all PM'ing each other right now...."Frigo said that TFF heard that Felt Rider said that Bro Deal saw them and they were all over each other!..." :D

Seriously though, with my limited medical knowledge, your wrist should repair as good as new. Unless there is permanent scarring of your ligaments which IMO is unlikely.
Once the weak link in the chain is fixed, and the pins come out, Voila...you are the man/cyclist you were four years ago, without the pain.
In any case, if there is any residual pain after your rehab period is over - ask the doctor for a topical injection of cortisone. Often fixes things overnight - especially around the small bones of the hands and feet. Worked for me.Nah. Pin doesn't come out. Doctor says I lose mobility. He wasn't real specific. I just wanted to know if anybody has any experience with this and how much mobility will be gone.

Unless you're keeping the HS analogy going. What you described above is what girls do. Boy's go " Yawn....Will you two guys please get a room!"
Speaking of PM's if you guys don't see us for a couple of weeks, we'll be in the Private Message forum.

I didn't realize it was a permanent pin. But I think you might get some helpful answers somewhere on cycling forums. It's a pretty common race/cycling injury. But most of us here (IMHO) aren't elite team racers. Notwithstanding I can't speak for the Helmut's and the Bro Deals and the matagi's.

You keep saying things I'm thinking.
Anyway, yes, I was talking about high school, and I don't know about today's boys... all these dumb kids texting away, texting while driving...they've got to be talking about something!
Did I just say dumb kids? :o This is so mature, LOL!

Trust me. I am not an elite team racer.I wasn't trying to imply that you are, I was just trying to sarcastically show that I wasn't. And also perhaps other posters in this thread-about-nothing. And that guys who do a lot of racing would have more exposure to this type of injury perhaps. Either themselves, or racing buddies that they know.
In any case Frigo - I wish now that I hadn't been so smart-assed in my original reply. I apologize for that. But I would suggest starting a new thread in the bike racing training forum.
But someone here might still be able to help with personal experience. They're just not online at this moment.
And there are no rules I believe on this thread about what you can or cannot post. That is why you are having to suffer about 100 posts from yours truly. I think I'm heading the way of H-V.

[PS. But what I actually want is garlic-buttered grilled lobster, preceded by a lightly fried calamari and the best sauce imaginable, and followed by a delectable creme brulee, all washed down by an '82 Chateau Lafitte sitting at a candle-lit table in a restaurant on the cobblestoned margins of the Champs Elysee in the company of the girl of my dreams;) )
Chateau Lafitte wouldn't work with calamari and garlic buttered lobster. Personally, I'd go with champagne but I think a nice Sancerre would also work or perhaps an Alsatian riesling.

It's for afterwards, with cheese m-a-y-b-e. The french wouldn't let us drink it while we're eating anyway. It would be an insult.
But you're right. The Champagne as an apretif and the Sancerre with the meal would be splendifique. You have completed my dream meal. Thanx matagi.
See Aussie's do have some culture.
[PS. Did I officially cover my ass in the above post?]

I don't race road bikes anymore. My main competitive sport is now ultra distance trail running. I am not feeling too elite at the moment. I recently DNSed at a 100 mile race when I contracted food poisoning two days before the start. There went a few hundred hours of training down the drain.

Movie I wished I walked out of, but was to nauseous to move: Blair Witch Project.
Horrible movie !!
That was nothing compared to the sequel. The same group of bozos decided they would make a real movie instead of that hand held camera, look at my nose hairs original. The result was not pretty.
