Exactly, the purple one tried to crack on to me. I had to say no. :p
Isn't that Tinky Winky, the gay one?

Teletubbies makes perfect sense if you watch it when under the influence of some mind altering substance. ;) :p
Is that something you've tried?
BTW - Wine list is coming slowly. Haven't been able to get to the shop. No spare time after lounging on this forum for most of the day.

Isn't that Tinky Winky, the gay one?I think it had a purple triangle. And i think the gay rights symbol is a pink triangle. Can't remember, it's been a while.

Funny you should say that because the Wiggles are a good rationale for being here, except that they spend most of their time in the States unfortunately (so I've heard).
As for the girls thing, that's not my style. I'm completely monogamous when having an affair. :p And you know who is the monogamous affairee, now don't you .;)
BTW I think I left my Calvin Klein briefs at your place, you'd better find them quick!
What's the point in having an affair, if I have to pick up after you too?
You said champagne and Paris, dammit!!:p

"Tell me, Brother Baldrick, what exactly did God do to the Sodomites?"
"I dunno, but I can't imagine it was worse than what they used to do to each other."
Second season was my favorite. The third was close, though. The fourth was sort of depressing if you stopped to think about the situation. And the first was dark and off a little.
I was entertained by Johnny English. Watching Malkovich play a Frenchman was rather funny. I wish a sequel would be made.
yeah, the first Blackadder series was a bit off, I reckon, but I liked all the others
I didn't get into Johhny English

Favorite TV shows.
I don't watch much network TV. The only shows I watch regularly are Family Guy, Nova, Frontline, and Survivorman. The occasional Seinfeld rerun is okay.
TV? Actually I only watch cycling every now and than, during the wintertime some cross country skiing, cross cycling (super prestige). Sometimes the news (but not about Al Gore...;) )
I spend most of the time (if I am not working) on my bike, in the net and reading books (these things with lots of words in it, if you combine them you might get a sentence and if you combine them too you might get a story, you can publish the story in a book).
Sometimes I also post in forums so they won't die.:D

Thank you for your gracious contribution, CH. It's an honor to have you here. That being said, never use the words "Al Gore" on this thread again, got it? ;)

Getting back to TV shows when I grew up. There was always saturday morning cartoons which were a great way to start the weekend vacation. I watched Hanna Barbera stuff after school like Huckleberry Hound andthe Flintstones. As well as Merry Melody and Warner Brothers cartoons. I also watched re-runs and current shows of Gilligan's Island, I dream of Jeanie, The Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Bonanza, My Favorite Martian, Get Smart, Nanny and the Professor, The Flying Nun (or was that just a girlie show), the Munsters, Andy Griffith show, the Bob Newhart Show.
And at night..Six Million Dollar Man, Rockford Files, MASH, Bionic Woman, Little House on the Prairie, Eight is Enough, Barnaby Jones, Columbo, Greatest American Hero, Magnum PI, Hawaii Five-O, etc.
There seems to be alot of PI shows in there around the late seventies, early to mid eighties.

All good shows mentioned there.
One of my favorite cartoons as a kid was Victor and Hugo: Bunglers in Crime. A british cartoon. My avatar is Victor.
Another show i liked that i haven't seen mentioned is Green Acres.
Was a big fan of the warner brothers, hanna barbara and disney cartoons.

Wow, that's a craptastic list, Cranky. :p I think you left out Nightrider, The Fall Guy, Matt Houston, BJ and the Bear, Jake and the Fatman, The Dukes of Hazard, Riptide, Tales of the Gold Monkey, Buck Rogers, The A Team, a bunch of other stuff I cannot remember, and reruns of Scooby Doo, featuring Shaggy, the coolest cat around.
Talking about TV shows, what was up with Friends? I never understood its popularity. The show was never funny; at most it rose to mildly amusing on the rare ocassion.. The actiing varied from barely adequate (Aniston and Perry) to downright embarassingly bad (Kudrow, Leblanc, Schwimmer). The only thing I can come up with is that people were addicted to the show so they could see what happened to the characters, much like gossip about their own friends, sort of a soap opera effect.

What's wrong with Friends? It got a bit stupid in epidode plots, but there were some classic lines in there.
As we watch a High School Prom home video of Monica when she was "fat"
Monica: That's not fair.... the video camera adds ten pounds
Chandler: So how many cameras were actually on you then?
Ross (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001710/): I would date her but there is a big age difference.
Joey (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001455/): Well think about it when you're 90...
Ross (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001710/): I know, she'll be 80 and it won't be such a big difference.
Joey (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001455/): No. What I was gonna say is when you're 90 you'll still have the memory of what it was like to be with a 20-year-old.
Joey (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001455/): Rach, you gotta find out if he's in the same place you are. Otherwise, it's just a moo point.
Rachel (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000098/): A moo point?
Joey (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001455/): Yeah. It's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.
Rachel (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000098/): Have I been living with him too long or did that all just make sense?

yeah, Friends was obviously no 'Young Ones' or 'Slackbaldder', but it was usually funny enough to make it worth watching, although it did have a bit too much sappy schlock which had to be fast-forwarded through. :)
I've been watching a bit of 'Raymond' lately coz it's on after Letterman, and man, that is NOT a good show; it's like a sitcom from the 50s! :)

Cheers was good IMO though its a bit dated now when you see reruns. "Young Ones" was good during High School for me. "Not the Nine O'Clock News" was brilliant I thought. That's where Rowan Atkinson got his start. He's in the following short clip/skit from that show which I recommend you watch:
