Ok, I have an idea...since everyone posted like 75 movies for their "top ten" list, here is a question to narrow it down to your truly favorite movie. Let's say you were going before the firing squad, and instead of a last meal, you got to watch a last movie...what would you pick? (And you get to eat a last meal while you watch it...)
I would pick The Long Hot Summer, so I guess that really is my favorite.
BTW, if anyone puts Quest For Fire, they are going on my ignore list..:p that or 2001:A Space Odyssey...
then i'd have to pick the sound of music, with souffle

OK since everyone talking about Tv shows now here's a trip down memory lane.
I used to watch this on BBC2 eating me tea when I came home from school.
The Water Margin was good too but this was hilarious and cool.
Check the opening quote and the first episode 'Monkey goes wild in heaven' :-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gmABsTi1-k
In the Worlds before Monkey,
Primal chaos reigned, Heaven sought order.
But the Phoenix can fly only when its feathers are grown.
The four worlds formed again and yet again,
As endless aeons wheeled and passed.
Time and the pure essences of Heaven,
The moistures of the Earth,
And the powers of the Sun and the Moon
All worked upon a certain rock - old as Creation,
And it magically became fertile.
That first egg was named Thought,
Tathagata Buddha, the Father Buddha,
Said, 'With our thoughts we make the world.'
Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch,
from it then came a stone Monkey.
The nature of Monkey was irrepressible!
Its MONKEY !!
class.

Flockhart freaks me out.
Andie McDowell is attractive.
Ashley Judd is awesome. She reminds me of my wife. But her mother and sister scare the hell out of me.
Arrested Development was a great show. Too bad it got cancelled. If I had a porn name it would be Bob Loblaw.
Weeds on Showtime is one of my favorites now. Kevin Nealon is fantastic.

Flockhart would have been right about my speed in college.
Jennifer Connolly is very attractive
Ashley Judd makes chick films for a reason

Favorite places you have traveled:
Southern Utah/Northern Arizona- IMHO, the single most beautiful and diverse scenery in the world. And the mountain biking is even better than the hype. Slickrock trail really is as cool as people say. White Rim Trail, Zion NP (hiking the Narrows in sometimes chest deep water is the single best hike of my life), Canyonlands NP (slot canyons make great hikes), Bryce Canyon (Fairyland Trail, and several other great hikes), Arches NP (Except for getting a ticket for riding my Mtn Bike LITERALLY 30 feet on a hiking trail.)
Alaska- You can feel how large and remote it is with every breath, and in terms of wildlife, simply incredible. Bears, Moose, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Humpback, Dahl Sheep, Fox, Orcas, Seals, it was incredible. I also ran a marathon while there.
Salzburg Austria/Bavaria- Incredible city and great castles throughout the area.
Naxos (Greek Island) Met a really beautiful German girl there, and had a great week.
Hawaii- Met my wife there, and it lives up to the hype also.
Vancouver Island- Victoria is a beautiful city, and very cycling friendly. The island is amazingly beautiful also.
Wish List:
Scotland
Ireland
Australia
Easter Island
New Zealand
Peru
Antarctica

TFF wants to start a bragging thread I see...;)No, I took my 20's off and worked to save money to travel. I didn't do it lavishly, but I did it. (bragging would have been for me to have listed all of the places..ok THAT is bragging even writing that, but the list is quite long) It is one of my passions. I have done without a lot of things to do it, and thought it would be interesting to hear about the travels of others maybe to even get some ideas about other intersting places.
I am grateful that I have gotten to see the things I have though.

TFF wants to start a bragging thread I see...;)I am one of those Chris McCandless wanna-be's. I am of the type that sees what he did as one of the bravest things I have ever read. (No to compare it to military bravery in any way, becase that is in a different class)
Burning your money and walking off into the world takes balls.
Has anyone seen the movie(back to them)?

I was just kiddin' ya. I'm just jealous because I would like to see all those places, especially Greece.
I've been a few places in Mexico I really enjoyed, like Puerto Vallarta. It's a neat city. And I thought San Francisco was a beautiful place to visit. There are other countries I would like to see like Scotland, Australia, Italy, maybe China....but I'm still trying to get to all the places I want to see here, like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, etc.

Good topic change again TFF. It was you who started the 10 best movies tangent which ignited a host of contributions and discussion.
I think you would like Australia. Big country and the people are REAL friendly to visitors. Great beaches, reefs and mix of comopolitan cities and the wilderness of the outback.
Africa's also a great place, not just for the wildlife (which is amazing).Flockhart would have been right about my speed in college.

I am intrigued by Venice, Tuscany, and of course Rome. And after the Olympics were in Barcelona I thought Spain looked pretty cool too.

I love Italy too:-
Sorrento in the bay of Naples is v.nice.
You can go see Pompei
Nip up the coast to Amalfi/Postitano/Ravello
Take boat trip to Capri or Ishcia
or just kick back and eat top food, drink top wine.
The alps up north in winter is really good too if you like a bit of alpine sports.

Australia is a dump. Aussies are very rude and will rip you off and/or beat you up. Scenery is crap, weather is either too hot or too cold and if the crocs don't get you the sharks surely will. It's too far away and everything is too expensive and the food is horrible.
Best to go somewhere else or stay home and watch TV.
All the above applies to Craggy Island too. Don't go there either.

Also, our women all have veneral diseases, terrorists train out here and we have some of the worst TV in the world (watch Neighbours or Home and Away for evidence). Cannibals and werewolves roam unchecked and drop bears are the scourge of bush walkers and livestock alike.
