I wonder how many accidents Evel caused with kids trying to immitate him. He was such a big celebrity that, when I was a young kid, our whole school stopped to watch him rocket blast over Snake River (which never eventuated from memory). It was like the moon landing, and this was in Australia!
Evel Kneivel stunts and heavyweight title fights at my school. I can remember them letting the kids watch Ali-Spinks, Holmes-Cooney and Holmes-Ali

Heavy-weight boxing bouts were the biggest one-off events in sport then. Bit before my time, but the Thriller in Manilla (Ali-Frasier)was huge.

The fat white kid who would bleed easily with a slight tap to the nose would be the obvious candidate.

Enjoy my new avatar, Cranky...:p
George Hamilton?? That's from left field.
jhusk - that steam roller stunt over 22 UCI members has been accomplished already I believe. (LMAO on your line BTW). But no one has ever done it without ramps. So that might be worth trying.
George Hamilton played Evel Knieval in the movie.

Sure, why not? We were turning the bobke thread into the dying thread, weren't we...and then...our thread...would die!!!
BTW, I just read this funny joke off the bike connections thread:

Go put your mileage in the thread in the cafe. That way we can see whose schwartz really is bigger.Bro Deal in the Bike Cafe is making out that his mileage is bigger than mine. I think the ladies here would be interested to know that it is not the total mileage (soft mileage) that counts - it's the amount of quality mileage (hard miles).
A lot of Bro Deal's miles are not that beneficial to performance. When you need to perform, its the mileage at an elevated heart rate that's going to count.
The following graphic illustrates my point.

Very scientific...
Brad has left the building now, much to the disappointment I'm sure of certain respected members...but since I occasionally engage in serious discussion, I sent him home. On reflection of recent events, I have decided I've had enough avatar tomfoolery for a while. Until tomorrow at the very least...:p

That pic is so professional looking it puts most Powerpoint presentations to shame. A real cracking job there.
