I've always been fascinated with tales of climbing Everest and would have loved to have attempted it. But then I read Into Thin Air and started to reconsider.
Would I dope to make it up to the top and more importantly back down safely? Yep, in a hearbeat.

OK. I just remembered what I hate most about Christmas. You can't frickin' park anywhere.
I just went to Barnes & Noble at lunch-time, where you have to pay $5 an hour to park if you don't get validated by a purchase, and there wasn't a park in sight. So I went round the back and found one in the "Barnes & Noble Employees Only" section. Forty-five minutes later I come back to find a little envelope under my wipers instructing me that I have been fined $25 and to send the envelope with check to "Standard Parking".
WTF is "Standard Parking"? No quasi-authority is going to trick me into funding their little scheme. I suppose the next thing is I'll be disallowed from parking at B&N.
There isn't any sign saying one will be fined if you park in the almost vacant employee area. It's like 100 yards from the front door, and there are no other parks. And how many employees are going to arrive at work around lunch-time. Its a disgrace IMO.

I just realized I replied to the wrong post...especially since I thought you were talking to me there....;) :pI found out that not everybody has their number of posts to the page set at the default of 15. But I think most of us highly educated and superior GT'ers (:D ) wouldn't bother changing the default so everybody's probably on the same page (pun intended).

There are a lot of other mountains to climb that are far cooler and far cheaper than getting dragged up the dog route on Everest. You're right Bro...but if you're a recently divorced mid-forties rich investment banker....what's going to sound better if you're bragging to a chick in a bar?....That you've climbed Aconcagua?.....or Everest?
That's why its popular. [Apart from it being the roof of the world].

That's why its popular. [Apart from it being the roof of the world].Like it matters...if you're bragging to a chick in a bar...just photoshop yourself on Everest...a lot cheaper than going.
And IF you're a rich investment banker...like she's going to care which fricking mountain you climbed...

Parking? You don't need no stinking parking "cyber shopping". OK, I need to get back to watching the Bi-Polar Express.
BTW: As forum "post doping manager" I need to demand that you be tested, you are way over the .500 post per diem at .700.
Your post doping!

Your post doping! No positive tests so that makes me clean. Unless you're doping which means I can't beat you without dope.
Lim has confided to me the secret of post batting (which I'll pass on, even though you are a more senior player in the team). You go around the forum agreeing with everybody and repeating what they say. Add in an opinion of your own and you're at 8-9 posts a day without blinking. Its easier than your method of wise-cracking because you don't need to have a good sense of humor like you do.
