Concerts? They had concerts there? :p
Actually, I did attend several. That much I can tell you. But I seriously don't remember a single one I saw. Oh my . . .
Hey, I think I might have been to the KC one? Maybe???? But, I assure you it wasn't for the music. :p
You'd remember KC...there was a huge lightning storm and they had to shut it down...also saw Huey Lewis and the News and George Thorogood...

Yeah, wasn't there a ton of rain that year and people were having mud wrestling on the grounds while waiting for the show or something . . . . I know that happened for SOME show I saw there some year; details are just fuzzy.

So you went to concerts in St. Louis? I thought you all just barn-danced on a Satdee night.

You need to check your map Cranky. StL is in the MIDDLE of the country. A fine metropolis. Known as the Gateway to the West. Big suburbia too. No barn dancin' goin' on in that there parta the country.

So I'm not allowed to retort in kind? :p
Yeah, I knew it snowed. Heard it was supposedly gonna be 4 to 6 inches. In typical StL fashion I assumed they were embellishing and it was really a dusting. :p They always make such an ordeal out of snow there, reporting from the salt mounds and all. :D
Supposed to get a foot here over the weekend. Glad it's happening over the weekend so we can enjoy it. But, we haven't even really had any measurable snow here yet this year and haven't even needed to shovel thus far. So since this is the first BIG snowfall of the season for us (way late) they're probably embellishing here too.
This global warming is really cutting into our skiing though.

Oh yeah, "the sky is falling the sky is falling!! Buy milk immediately" I can still see the grass poking through  . Even my kids know to roll their eyes when the forecast is given. Only in STL do your snow pants come home muddy...:p
Have to get them to Art Hill before it turns to slush.
BTW...finally getting the tree up today!

Woo-whoo, wtg with the tree. I've yet to RE-do mine since it fell over last week. Uughh!
Awe man, Art Hill. Hubby and I went there once pre-kids and had a blast. But, I must say, it wasn't as impressive as it was when I was a kid. Not being from StL, he loved it though. Used to love going there as a kid. The pond at the end is a bit challenging at times.
Yep, you'd better hurry up and get out there, with a few thousand others, sledding into each other, before all the "good snow" is gone.

Maybe try a little Viagra in the water supply of the tree. I am not familar with the stuff personally but in gets a lot ad time so it must be popular.
btw: Does anybody know what the female reindeers do while Dancer,Prancer etc. are out doing the sled pulling?

And don't forget Donner and Vixen are in the troop. They gotta be girls right?
What does Viagra do to you if you don't need it? I've always wondered.
And jhusk, when you get past 6,000 posts, do you think you'll learn how to reply to another's quote on the forum without omitting the "[/QU..TE]"?:p

This global warming is really cutting into our skiing though. :mad:Where do you go skiing? I used to get a season pass to Boston Mills/Brandywine. Slope was a massive drop of 300 feet. It was 20 secs of skiing followed by 5 minutes on the lift but it was better than nothing. And there was a bit of atmosphere on Saturday night at Brandywine apres-ski.;)

Hey...what I can't figure out is how to get the quotes separated in the message. I tried to type it like it is with the brackets but it doesn't work (for me). AND how do you attach thumbnails?
Oh, the female reindeer are shopping and drinking margaritas...

If you're into extreme sports...in STL you can ski down a hill into a ravine on a sheet of ice, surrounded by a bunch of yahoos wearing treebark camo who have no idea what they're doing...way more dangerous than any black diamond in Colorado...:p

Yep, season tickets, those very same double black diamond slopes. My eldest wants to learn to snow board this year. Santa is bringing him a snowboard for XMas. My youngest wants to learn to ski this year, so we're very anxious.
Since hubby and I previously lived in Colorado, believe me when I say it's quite the disappointment. But, you don't have to rub it in. It is what it is, alright? Geez!
We were gonna head to New York for an extended holiday weekend of at least a LITTLE better skiing, but as I said out of town company has ruined those plans for us.

Oh, the female reindeer are shopping and drinking margaritas...You have to insert a "[/QU..TE]" where you want the quote to stop, then another "[QU..TE=whoever] when you want the second quote to start, then followed by another "[/QU..TE] when you want it to end again. [I left out the "O" otherwise it thinks its a quote here]. If you leave out the "=whoever" then you just get "Quote" without the "Originally posted by whoever".
Thumbnails - you just go down to the bottom and click on "Manage Attachments". A box will come up with about five "Browse" buttons. You need to have the picture you want already saved in your picture folder. You can do that by right clicking and "Save as" from anywhere on the web.

Aha...thanks. I knew it was easy...but I never want to take the time to figure that stuff out. I'm still trying to figure out my new cell phone  . BTW, saw this headline today:

Man Gets Hit With $85,000 Cell Phone Bill
We've seen [url="http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/36084;_ylt=Ao4G3ghmvwSj.9RrDTFyjug8MZA5"]$3,000 cell phone bills (http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/61440). We've seen $10,000 cell phone bills (http://tech.yahoo.com/blog/null/57771;_ylt=AlLEDHjz2tDrBabcL5LhnLQ8MZA5). But now we've got a bill that's approaching six figures, as a man has been hit with an $85,000 invoice (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071214/wl_canada_afp/canadainternettelecomoffbeat;_ylt=AuiupigrCnjZJy11OVNQbJE8MZA5).

The female reindeer,to kill a little time, go out and "blow a few bucks".
As to Viagra I really don't know.
As to "quote" it's there so you lost me on that one.
And if you want to know about skiing, you have come to the right place as I was born with skis on my feet.
Really pissed my mother off.
