Uh-oh. I found a new ice cream I have decided is the best flavor ever: Haagen-Dazs Reserve's Lehua Honey and Sweet Cream. Unfreakinbelievably good.

I seriously need to decide on what events I am doing next year so I can get back to serious training. At this rate I'll be as big as Lance in no time :eek:

I think I have already decided to do a couple of double centuries. And if you are in double century condition then you might as well do Lotoja. There's a hundred mile run in the Tetons that looks gorgeous.

Seriously, Bro...you're like the devil describing ice cream the way you do. I have a seriously problematic relationship with frozen cream. I keep breaking up...then getting back together again. And the stuff has a glycemic value of like 200.

I do the Seattle to Portland double century but its not a race. Most of our races are shorter here as are most races anywhere. The longer distance races I find are just a battle with glycogen renewal for me. I still haven't found the best formula for output vs. intake yet.

And when you say a 100 mile run is gorgeous...I can't really work out what you mean. Do you get a chance to soak up the scenery on these long hauls?

Ultras are long enough that you have a lot of time to think about what you see. Some of it sinks in by osmosis. Ugly races suck.
