Security locked wheels on my Specialized

Hi everyone

I recently purchased a second hand Specialized Globe for my wife. I was foolish not to realise the wheels had a special security system and I have no clue what type of tool I need to unscrew the hubs.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Would you be able to advise me how I can open these?

A London Commuter That is an odd looking nut. Can you contract the previous owner about it? Maybe you can take it to your LBS and let them have a go at it!
