Mini pump usage ?
View Full Version : Mini pump usage ?
Tried to get air into my tyres using my new mini pump today. (Bought my no-name pump 'cos it fitted
the provided support points on bike.) Tyres use Schraeder valves, and bike has Alex G3000 rims which
are quite deep. Pump has clamp arrangement for Schraeder valve, but I couldn't get hole in pump to
fit round end of valve before valve was disappearing into rim. Interference fit wasn't quite the
right description! Sorted it today by using my car pump, but on the road...
Apart from getting another pump, any ideas please? Thanks

I dunno what width those rims are, but you can get inner tubes with extra long valve housings on
them to go through those aero shaped wheels. Try your LBS, they'll probably be able to suggest
something.
