Anti-Candida Diet/Withdrawal

View Full Version : Anti-Candida Diet/Withdrawal

Hi,

I just started working with a holistic doctor to get rid of my candida
albicans. I stopped eating sugar, most carbs, and caffeine and I feel
so so tired. It's been about two weeks since I started and I have no
energy.

Am I going through withdrawal or is it a reaction to killing off the
candida? Anyone ever experience this? If so, when will it go away?!!

Thanks for listening,
Michelle

Change in energy level (up or down) is common in the first two
weeks of low carbing. If it has been returning towards normal in
the last couple of days then you can expect your energy level
to settle back to normal within a week.

By the third week it becomes time to try something. The usual
advice is to increase carb quota from 20 to 30 in week 3 instead
of the 20 to 25 that's the normal progression.

Doctor Atkins discussed candida in his books. Have you read any of
the Atkins books? Check in the index for the discussion and read
there.
