French Alps and Paris to Dakar ride report

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). Several months ago I asked if any had any experience with the folks
(www.bike-dreams.com) putting on a Paris to Dakar bike ride. Despite
the lack of responses, I decided to do the trip and was very glad I
did. I've posted a ride report at my bike club's website:

and also included a write up on the 2 weeks I spent in the French Alps
prior to the other trip.

This company is also doing a month long trip in Italy next May, and a
4 month long trip in the Andes (Quito to the tip of South America)
next August.
