I Hereby Volunteer Myself as a Moderator.

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). We also feature an great deals in our online store, 100's of articles, classifieds and product reviews.

I have created a new forum. It took sometime but here it is:

AD free, tweaks to avoid spam bots and I can make people moderator. I have tried to keep it simple. I hope all of you like it. It's underconstruction so don't worry when things don't work in the first week of 2008.

See that Ric is the only Moderator, hence part of the problem, Ric should get some of the major posters to work as moderators too. Also he should add some rules to make it more difficult for bots, such as not being able to post an image or link for 10 days.

I think Ric is a little busy at present but I'm sure something a can be done to deal with it before everyone rushes off elsewhere. Besides, so much good stuff in the archives.

I hope so cause would hate to see his good name and efforts as a coach sullied through something as trivial as doing his job as moderator for this site.

Good idea. And I'll volunteer to hold their legs apart while you cut 'em off. I've done that lots of times :eek: (about 30 years ago when I used to help castrate pigs on a local farm :D )

Since we've gotten a small break from the spam I wanted to bump this back to the top, to hopefully get the attention of the forum admins. Myself and I'm sure others would be happy to volunteer as moderators to keep the forum spam free.

Yes, having a few moderators would definitely ease the load and avoid burn-outs (or Viagra'ed out) for any individual. I would be happy to assist too.
