Has anyone used one?
Is it true that u can inflate a tyre in 5 seconds?
Are they better than carying a spare pump?
Are they worth the money?
Any suggestions please let me know before I go out and waste more money

Yes.

I'd suggest carrying them in addition to a pump. What if you run out of cartridges?

How much money do you have? They're convenient, but air is free.

I suggest getting the type of inflator that can use non-threaded cartidges. With these, you can use the inexpensive CO2 cartridges sold for use with BB guns.
Also, tubes are much more permeable to CO2 than to air, so you will lose tire pressure relatively quickly with CO2. You should be fine for the rest of the ride, but make sure to reinflate your tire with air when you get home.
