Elk Haus Simplon: "Our goal is the Tour of Austria."

06.01.2008/ Pro Continental Team Elk Haus Simplon signed German neo-pro Björn Thurau, son of German cycling legend Didi Thurau for the upcoming season. The team wants to win the Tour of Austria and applied a wild cart for the Giro d'Italia and the Tour of Germany. An interview with Elk Haus Simplon team manager Bernhard Rassinger.

Good to hear. I always liked Didi. Hope that his son has a good career!

Björn is a nice guy, Didi was a great rider but unfortunally he had a lot of trouble after his career (bankrupt etc.)

Didi is possibly the classiest looking rider of all time. Took more drugs than Keith Richards though.
