View Full Version : Rec.Running Book Club for February
What to read/listen-to on books-on-tape while running in frigid Syracuse, NY, in February?
Dante's Inferno
January's choice book accompaniment for running was "Under the Tuscan Sun", which was spectacular.
Now wife and I can't wait for this May's bicycle trip across Tuscany that we have planned
(http://www.xplus.com/bicycling/ispring.html).

Josh,
That is a non-working link... I would be interested in knowing about your Tuscany bicycle trip.

I'm reading, no, make that 'ploughing through', The Silmarillion by old JRRT. It *is* good, but it's
also bloody hard work, although his creation myth - which forms the first chapter - is an
outstanding piece of original thought. If you can't be bothered to read the book, read that chapter.
Josh, I hate Italy. Too many pretty guys. Makes me feel inadequate.

Sorry the link didn't work for you. I just tried it and it worked for me. Maybe you can go to the
home page www.xplus.com and then search for Italy trips (I've done 2) and then choose the "Spring
Training in Southern Tuscany" trip. If you really want to drool (and we did), look at Culinary
Cycling Circus.
Lemme know if these links still don't work.
