Tried on "cushy" shoes last night......
Well, after trying on a bunch of Nike, Saucony, Asics, Reebok, Adidas I can honestly say that the
only shoe that felt like it was worth a sh*t was the Nike Air Pegasus Storm..........Not the Nike
Pegasus........Specifically the 'Air Pegasus Storm'. I don't know what the f*** the difference
is/was but although the name looks the same, apparently the word "Storm" means "worth half a sh*t"
in english!! I have to say that I am VERY disappointed in everybody's shoes. Asics was probably the
worst (of what I tried on). It was Sportsmart here in California which lets you try on shoes as long
as you like, run up & down the aisles etc. etc. There were no Nimbus IV's so I'm not saying Asics
sucks, just the shoes I tried on. Even the new "802?" or something like that. Saucony was about the
most consistent in comfort but they had no Grid Trigon (the one I really wanted to try) I tried Grid
this & Grid that but none of 'em were any more comfortable than my $25 Fila walking shoes. The award
is definitely the Pegasus Storm. If it weren't for that shoe I might have lost hope altogether.
Maybe $25 Fila's aren't so bad after all???
P.S. Almost forgot......New Balance was pretty ok. Nothing special...imho!

And FWIW, too, I rec'd my Nike Shox basketball shoes last week & played in them Saturday night. They
fit a bit more snug around the top of the foot & hug the heel a bit more than any other Nike bball
shoe I've ever owned, but as for shock absorption??........let me just say I'm glad I paid waaaay
less than full pop for 'em 'cuz they ain't nothin' special either. Maybe I'll have to try some
Pegasus Storm's out on the basketball court & see if I can't score more points by distraction than
skill..........LOL!
