This Jersey Rocks!!

Since 2001, over 90,000 cyclist's have joined Cycling Forums to discuss topics from general cycling to equipment, training, racing and travel or vacation destinations (especially in europe during the tour de france). It has been about 4 months now wearing my Police Jersey and all I can say is YEAH BABY!!! Whole new level of respect from motorists.

I'm not a cop. Only an idiot would mistake "County Police" for their local constabulary. I don't want to be a target of the local gangs. I don't want to be a target of the local separatists. I don't want to be a target of anyone with a beef against cops. People that pay enough attention to read the shirt from a distance aren't the people I'm worried about hitting me. It's a fucking stupid and ugly shirt. Wearing something brightly colored with a color close to the center wavelength of human vision, i.e. yellow-green, is a more sure fire way to be seen. Only a dumbass would think such a shirt would save their bacon.

If people are so scared of riding on the roads that they need to wear such an idiotic shirt, then said people should stick to the trails and MUTS where they'll be all safe and cozy.

Look... maybe I misjudged you incstlouis. We have had a spate of spam trouble here the last couple of months... and when I clicked on your link in the other thread you set up... I found it had little to do with a cyclist near miss, and the website appeared to be the sort you would get in a spam email.

I now realize that you might have just passed on an email you received...not realizing that it was probably just spam... and got all excited when you saw a guy riding a bike in it.

But I am wary of your comment that you are going to stop posting after 10-15 posts... unlike the stalwarts you name with thousands of posts... such as myself. Plenty of members fade away pretty quick or ask a question which gets answered, then they leave. But your threads are just topical "Hey guys... Check this out!" threads. So you wanted to join to drop the jersey and the video... then leave...or are you going to join again under another handle?
