Replacement screws etc
View Full Version : Replacement screws etc
Many of the screws/bolts etc have got quite rusty on my bike?
Its a kona
any idea where I can get replacement ones for them.....?
At your freindly LBS (Local Bike Shop)!
I get stainless steel from my local nut and bolt shop, A&M Bolts and Nuts, Bassendean. ;)
most bolts on bikes have a very 'standard' thread pitch, and are easily replaced. For example, the thread on the bottle cag bolts is same pitch used on a few other bits on the bike. I've used bottle cage bolts on derailleurs, derailleur clamps, stem face-plates, and even once or twice on brake cable clamps
All of the above suggestions are good. Another source for specific screws and small bits for your bike and components is "Loose Screws - Small Bicycle Parts" online store, see link. Look in the "fasteners" section.

Just grease them, with or without removing them. What's wrong with a little rust?
