PT 2.4 WIRED CPU Problems
Does anyone else have problems with the newer PT 2.4 Wired CPU and an older version hub in that you have to continuously zero out the torque during a ride?
I can zero the torque before i start, and sure enough the watts will read low at some point in the ride, and when i go to zero the torque again it is reading -0.
This happened yesterday again on the trainer during FTP intervals. My second interval, even though i set the Computrainer at the same watts, were reading low, and according to my PE i could tell as well. Then i zero'd the torque and sure enough the third interval had an avg power of 10 watts higher (Computrainer watts were set the same for all 3 intervals).
I knew that it was a problem in the new 2.4 CPU when it went kaput and I had to send it back to Saris and borrowed an older version CPU (the same version that came with my SL PT) that worked flawlessly! I did not have to zero out the torque every day, even though i did, and it would not fluctuate like the new version. The torque remained stable throughout.
I have a teammate who has the same problem with the new PT2.4 wired CPU and older hub. I am wondering if there are more out there who have experienced this?
