Fluoroquinolone in food?
To make a long story short, I got a bad reaction to Avelox (Cipro in disquise) about a month ago and
am doing the whole sore tendon etc trip.

My question is ... are there any foods currently noted for containing significant Fluoroquinolone
residues? I know that at one time, poultry was so treated, though I see that a lot of companies like
Perdue have sworn off using it.

Not sure if it would make a difference in my case, but if there is good data on Fluoroquinolone
residues in food, it would be cool to see some pointers to it.

Who knows, avoiding this might help. Nothing else (except time) seems to. :-)

Thanx.

bacterial resistance to ciprofloxacin is happening at an alarming rate, and once resistance occurs
it may effect the entire class of fluoroquinolones.

Use organic meats... other meats have pesticide and antibiotic residues. They're expensive.. but
they taste pretty good. It's not good to eat too much meat anyway so enjoy what you can afford.
