I have painstakingly weighed each of C's last 100 posts... and averaged them out... and they weigh less than a duck.
So C is a witch... :p

Hhhhmmmm, pretty neat how nobody bitches about the thread being off track when it becomes being about ragging on me. For some odd reason, it seems to always happen that somebody makes such a comment (complaining about a thread being off track) as soon as I come in and merely respond to everyone else's jokes about me.  ;)

Does she float? Everything floats when it reaches the deadlights. :p
PS: reference to Stephen King's novel.

Landis appeal dismissed:
Lausanne, 30 June 2008 – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed the appeal filed by the American cyclist Floyd Landis and has confirmed the initial decision issued by a Panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) on 20 September 2007. Consequently, Floyd Landis is disqualified from the Tour de France 2006 and is suspended for a period of two years starting from 30 January 2007. Floyd Landis has been ordered to pay the sum of USD 100'000 to the United States Anti-doping Agency (USADA) as a contribution towards its costs in the CAS arbitration.

Best news I had all day. So that just about draws a line under the entire USPS story. Hopefully we never have to hear from them again. I wonder if Lance will suggest that CAS is corrupt just like the lab ?

Thanks for that confirmation Rolf.
Landis cock and bull alibi's have been dismissed for the lies that they were.
And all those who contributed to his defence fund ought to be refunded every penny that they donated.
Personally I am delighted that Landis got his comuppence : he played especially dirty when he and his team tried to silence Greg LeMond.

Seeing as how people still think Tyler is innocent, I don't think this will change any minds of the die-hard believers.

I have to admit I was still on the fence until Geoghegan's cellphone escapade. After that I only wanted Phloyd to go away.

I thought this summed proceedings well:
In the end, the panel saved its harshest criticism for Landis, who it said essentially tried to muddle the evidence and embarrass the French lab, and continued on that course even after the evidence was shown not to exist.
"Appelant's experts crossed the line, acting for the most part as advocates for the Appelant's cause, and not as scientists objectively assisting the Panel in the search for truth," the decision read.

They contributed to the sham defense and a deliberate attempt to discredit WADA and the French lab. For them to lose their money is more than fair.
I'm especially pleased that the CAS is forcing Landis to reimburse USADA for some of their expenses. It's ironic that he appealed to the US Govt. to cut funding for USADA, yet the reason they need funds is to fight BS appeals like his.
Now, what needs to happen is an investigation and/or charges need to be brought against this outfit for the 'witness tampering' that was evident in the threats against LeMond.

He can never own up. He acted the way he did because he felt cheated. Problem was he took his anger out on the wrong people. He should have been angry at those who enticed him to dope in the first place, and at himself for not havng the courage to say no. I also think he would have been angry at the UCI for turning a blind eye to USPS doping then stamping down the minute LA retires. However, he couldn't express that anger because he would have then had to admit to his own doping whilst on that team.
