According to Velonews, he goes to CAS today (Wednesday, March 19) for his final appeal.

What do you guys think? Does he have a chance? I mean, it was a split decision last time (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

I wonder if the guy Landis chose, who always votes in favour of the riders, is comfortable in the knowledge that there will be a 2-1 against him. My point, if there were two pro-athlete arbiters, would they be more hesitant about finding on behalf of the athlete when it could go either way.

Ofcourse, this has some assumptions.

His odds are already better going in because of his former manager's absence. But since it's a closed hearing, we won't be getting TBV's live updates.

He could get off. CAS does have a history of being more favorable to the athlete. It will be a technicality though. He may have a better chance of getting his suspension moved back by five months.

He will never ride the TdF again. He should brush up on his spanish and aim for the Vuelta. It's possible he could get on a Pro Continental spanish team and be allowed to race the Vuelta. The Giro maybe a possibility but has to be a longer shot for getting an invite. He'll probably end up racing in the U.S., perhaps and road and mountain.

Horner supposedly was not making a bad living in the U.S.

Crock would probably pay him pretty well.

Compared to 2 million nearly per annum.Still its better than working in an LBS. And he'd get free Rock and Rip-off the Public jeans as a perk.

When did Landis ever make 2 mil? I thought he was getting around 250K on Postal. He made more at Phonak, but probably around five of six hundred Gs.

I think he'll get done anyway.

How much more of his suspension does he have left?
8-10months or so?? ( I forgot when it started)

His wife has left, divorce is imminent, and his life is a complete shambles. I'm not saying this to gloat, because it's a sad human story all around.

On a more tawdry note, I hear that Tyler Hamilton is soon to be on the market again.

if Haven leaves, she takes his twins blood bags with her. Or should that be her twin. <confused>

I wouldn't be surprised if they say that he cheated, but since faulty procedure was used to nail him, he cannot be punished.

they will have to wind up the Tyler Hamilton Foundation. They were paying the CEO near 6 figures, and the distributions were miniscule. So much for charity.

So Armstrong walks away with McConaughey and a net worth near 9 figures, Hamilton and Landis divorcing, Levi lost his hair, surely Odessa will follow. Landis no money left, probably loses his step daughter, probably has fallen out with his best mate Will Geoghagon, his mentor father-figure committed suicide.

Doping US o' A style, paintin' a rosy picture of domesticity yah?

Is Landis divorcing? If so it has been a long time coming because of his infidelity with one of the training staff, but either way I suspect he will get a large contact with a "vitamin" company.
