I found myself a deal and purchased a bunch of Chocolate powerbars, enough to last me 6 months. Am
happy to pass on the savings to anyone interested in a few boxes.

12 Chocolate Powerbars @ $15 a pop, including shipping

What savings? I can get them from my health food store for the same price. Try shopping Trader Joes
if you can.

At a neighborhood Dollar Store, Power Bars are 8 for a dollar. They have several thousand in a huge
bin that were likely purchased from an unsold goods broker. In another bin, they have several other
brands of Power Bar knock-offs, at the same price. They are fresh enough that you wouldn't complain,
unless you're dedicated to that sort of thing. But, I ate so many, maybe 20 a day for a week, that
my taster became permanently detuned to them and I will never be able to stomach one again. Sort of
like a cat that is fed the same flavor of food too often. I regard them as junk food anyway and
don't recommend them to anyone who is looking for good nutrition. Running and biking high-mileage
allows you to cast off your self-control like that and not pack much onto your waistline. From my
experience, I believe it's untrue that they contain an aphrodisiac or I would have been jailed.

I'm not sure about PowerBars since I prefer Clif Bars...But I got a bunch of them at Trader Joes for
$0.99 each. I would imagine PBs are about the same price.

Milk chocolate or Special Dark?

Ahhh real chocolate. I tried that once during a long triathlon I did. I don't remember if it was an
energy boost but I remember how nice it was to have chocolate near the end of a 6 hour triathlon.

Chocolate rules.

Doug you're missing a great product. Not only do Powerbars provide energy, if lets say, you're
running a 100 mile trail run and your outsole comes off your shoe you can use the powerbar to glue
it back on. Why do you think triathletes stick them to their bike frames? Fixing cracks in the tube!

I wear Nikes and eat Powerbars. YES pissing off Doug, Bill R and Roger in one post. Tripple

You probably *don't* carry a camera during an event, either. Thought not. Wimp. :-)

Once, when I ran the Pikes Peak Marathon.

You must not eat them in the rain, 'cuz M&M's *do* run <pun intended> in the rain ;) M&Ms will also
melt in your hand if they've been abused in the bottom of your pack all summer and are finishing the
last of them. First hand experience on both.

BTW, powerbars that you've cut into bite-size pieces then stuck in warm pocket front pants pocket
(no other pockets work) to keep from freezing will amorphose (sorry, couldn't think of word) into
cute weird shapes ;)
