I have self diagnosed myself with Plantar Fasciatis. After finding the right shoe, I have been
running injury free for a year. My run last Saturday was no different than my normal run other than
I ran slightly faster. Sunday night my right foot hurt so bad I couldn't walk. I thought it was a
cramp. It eased up the side of my ankle. Monday morning it hurt bad. I limped all day and iced it
Monday night. That helped. I walked around barefooted and that agrevated it even more. Since then I
have iced it twice a day and have worn shoes at all times (except the shower : )). Should I postpone
my runs until it is completley healed? How long is the norm if I rest and ice it? I have started
stretching my calf and feet several times a day. I don't want to wear a boot to bed.
Also, could it be that the midsole of my shoe has worn down? I don't have that many miles on them,
but they haven't given me problems before now.
