This must be the worst site i have ever been too. so much crap spam for junk items and nothing to do with cycling except for a couple of people that care. they really need to remove the junk of kill this site all together..:(
we're working on it.
One of the 'owners' is an Aussie guy, and there's a couple of us trying to get in touch with him
stay tuned :)
Please keep us posted. Again, I am more than willing to put in time as a spam-eliminator if required.

+1; I'll be happy to volunteer as well. Would be a real shame to just let the spammers have this forum.

This is nothing compared to the snipping and hostility at rec.bicycles.tech.
A few frequent writers there take great pleasure at throwing ****e around, otherwise have little to say. Small weenies is my guess.

I have given up on the usenet groups. I would rather deal with the spam here than with some of the people that populate those groups.
Add me to the list of volunteers to:
1) clean up spam threads/messages
2) Banning spamming users
3) Anything else needed to eliminate the spam
I have volunteered before... it seems most of those still persisting here have as well.
Good luck. I will not be holding my breath though.
I know Steve is aware of the sentiment about the spam. Why no reaction?????????????????????????
He does not seem to be very present on this forum, does he?
They simply need to add the feature that allows users to "ingnore" other users like on the yahoo message boards. This will allow everyone to eliminate spam from their account. The typical argument is that spamers can keep creating new names and my solution is let them try to keep up with my ignore button. They will soon move on to an easier target.

Well, thanks to the admin/mods who have cleaned up every little bit of spam on all of the sections of the cyclingforums site.
Grazie!
Yeah. :)
It'd be nice to know what happened. Like, was he away?
