G'day Sand Gropers

Erik Straarup from Denmark sets off tomorrow (Saturday 29th March) on his third attempt at the unsupported around Australia record.
See his web stuff here http://www.lonebiker.dk/EHJEM/index.html

The existing record is 55 days 17 hours 18 minutes held by Eugen Schilter from NSW.

Erik's trip will raise money for the Red Cross in Oz and DK.

I'd be there cheering him off.

Start is scheduled to 29 March 2008, 8 am, in front of "The Swan Bell Tower" Perth.

I hope those wicked easterlies have died down by then. They've
made riding bike here in Perth hard work.
