View Full Version : Wheel Question
I am in the market for a new wheelet and have narrowed the search to a couple of carbon semi-aero wheelsets (~40 mm deep). The brands I am looking at; Zipp, Reynolds both offer a 16 front/20 rear spoke OR a 20 front/24 rear model.
I weigh 165 and live in So Cal (roads are decent) and am planning on using these wheels as my everyday wheel. Also, I am mostly a spinner and prefer using higher cadence than pure power.
My question is whether the 16/20 versions would be sufficient with my weight.
Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated.I don't have those specific wheels, but my wheels have the same number of spokes. 16/20. I live in socal too and i weigh about 175....you'll be fine. It says on the Zipp website the wheels are not recommended for people over 200 lbs.
