Hyperbaric Therapy
I am spending about an hour a day in a Hyperbaric Chamber (Hyper - not
Hypo) -

4psi, very high oxygen concentration

(I am doing this for a couple of health reasons / helping my son with
autism)

I have read that this will also help in recovering from muscle fatigue
in "getting back into shape" - I have tested this and it seems to be
true. I can bury myself in a ride and feel fine the next day (after
being in the chamber).

But long term, I am concerned this will have a negative impact on my
training - isn't that the whole reason people sleep in low oxygen
environments when training?

Thanks!

People sleep in low O2 on the supposition that it causes the body to
generate more red corpuscles. That is probably unlikely unless you're a real
extremist and do it all night every night.

The same might be said of your treatments. Remember that your blood O2 is
probably 99% at atmospheric pressure so what would additional O2 do?

I slept in a "hemp chamber" and woke up hungry

Just get a TUE for asthma medication. Only a gorilla will see through
your ruse.

"Conclusion: These results suggest that hyperbaric oxygen therapy was
not effective in the treatment of exercise-induced muscle injury as

Why should we take your word? Have you ever ridden a fixed gear?
