strauss' political theory 101Are you saying that the US policies I described are Straussian... Or that you think my my views are?
Ignorance is still very much alive and thriving quite well I see...No... I think he made a fair point. I hope you don't ride a carbon fibre bike because they're nearly all made in China. You'd be a hypocrite then, assuming you were aware of this and that you were advocating your own views.
Looks to me like people around here need a good endorphin release or something . . . :DIt does touch a raw nerve, especially given the way media covers the subject, ignorance of many people, and the BS mouthed by the politicians...
Ignorance is still very much alive and thriving quite well I see...Brow me, pompous person. You advocate putting out of work million of poor chinese. You suck.
I know I wouldn't like that even though communism as a concept is very equal (probably more equal than democracy), the problem is it has always been implemented in the wrong way or taken advantage of by some people.Communism in theory makes about as much sense as everyone in a bike race carrying extra handicap weight, depending on how good they individually are, until the whole field can finish in a straight line... "Tied First". The first prize money is split between the whole field so everyone gets a dollar. After a while (about one or two races), the good cyclists get jacked off with this and don't see any reason to try. Eventually everyone ends up as alcoholics, drinking vodka down the pub... :p
Looks to me like people around here need a good endorphin release or something . . . :D........done
Make your own personal stand to Free Tibet - don't buy ANYTHING made in China...otherwise, you're simply paying lip service...Just curious. Have you actually tried total avoidance of anything made in China?

US/CIA supported Taliban and Saddam's activities when they needed an instrument to apply pressure and leverage. So make your own call.

No... I think he made a fair point. I hope you don't ride a carbon fibre bike because they're nearly all made in China. You'd be a hypocrite then, assuming you were aware of this and that you were advocating your own views. If I do or don't is not the point. To be more accurate, a the majority of carbon frames are made in Taiwan...Anyway, you seem to have misunderstood my comment. I never personally advocated that Tibet be freed from Chinese imperialist tyranny. Quite frankly, I couldn't care less as there are more important social, economic, and human rights' issues here in Canada and the U.S that I could put my efforts towards. I simply stated that if people are serious and true to this particular cause they should not put their money where their mouth says it shouldn't be. I am simply illustrating the hypocrisy of the bandwagon jumpers...

Appears my statement touched more than a few nerves...unfortunately I may have stepped on a few toes...oh well...
