It'll be interesting to see how Astana does. Who do you bet is going to be their leader? The invitation is coming so late that neither of the three have enough time to peak specifically for the Giro so who's in the best condition right now? My bet for the leader is Kloden. We can quite surely leave Contador out because he's probably peaking for the Vuelta.

By the way, could it be one of the reasons for the late invite as to not give the Astana riders enough time to especially peak for the Giro?

The only thing worth looking forward to now is what Simoni is going to say/do after the Astana train leaves him behind.
