Problem with Polar CS100

Does anyone know what it means when after replacing the battery of the Polar CS100, the screen reads out "8407" and does not respond to any depression of the buttons?

Dunno. Try a hard reset of the computer. Put the battery in backwards for a bit, and then reinsert the battery the correct way to see if that helps.

Yup, your best bet is to just take the battery out for a while and 'start over'.
