Water bottle yuckiness

I made the mistake of putting a sports drink in my water bottle. Now it smells/tastes like the stuff
despite having washed it. Any way to get rid of this?

Fill with water, add a few drops of bleach (Clorox) and shake. Let it stand overnight and then rise
thoroughly with hot soapy water before rinsing clean. Let it air out (open) for a day.
