Favorite Post ride meal

So lets hear it...whats your prize for kicking ass in a workout?

My personal favorite comes from an old hockey coach. He calls them "power pancakes". The recipe sounds gross at first (believe me, I said the same thing) but its very simple, tastes amazing, and is packed with nutrition.
Mix cottage cheese, oatmeal, and 4-6 egg whites to "pancake consistancy". If your cholest is low, you can throw a full one in, or substitute the egg whites for egg beaters or something of the likes. Once you get a good consistancy, add nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon...really anything you like. Ill throw some fresh blueberries in sometimes. Cook them just like you would with any other pancake and serve with sugar free syrup.

My absolute favourite post ride meal is pasta with home-made bolognaise sauce - but given that I don't have a big pot of it bubbling on the stove every time I go riding, I try for some combination of carbohydrate and protein.

Quick post-ride meals I like are baked beans on toast or sardines on toast, usually preceded by chocolate milk.

After a smoothie has settled, I like a big gluten free beef burger on wholemeal with cheese, spinach, tomato, spanish onion and maybe mushrooms.

Wasn't there another thread just like this?

Anyway, I have a simplified version of the sauteed garlic and olive oil pasta sauce. You boil up some spaghetti or egg noodles, drain well, and add some olive oil, garlic powder, and powdered parmesan.

No big meal right after the ride, just a banana and maybe another calorie snack... and an espresso. Then for the actual meal (such as supper or whatever comes next), a nice pasta. I like spaghettini or egg noodles tossed with a fresh garlic clove and extra virgin olive oil, and maybe some fresh cherry tomatoes. I add an ounce or two of cheese, either in it (parmesan or romano), or as a side dish (mozarella or other). I snack on peanuts for extra protein.

I can't take a heavy meal immediately after a ride. I can't digest it, especially if it's heavy in protein.
