Heart rate monitors
View Full Version : Heart rate monitors
Are ther any HRM's out there that are not interferred with by cordless cycle computers?
Never had any problems with my Polar (with coded belt)...
Just note that not all Polar HRMs have the coded belt bundled, or are capable of listening to a coded belt..

Just what I suspected (in another thread). Quote from Polar Glossary:
'The Polar OwnCode feature is included in the Polar M- and S-series (except in the S120 and S150).
Note: Polar M21/M22, M51/M52 and M71ti are sold without the OwnCode feature in the USA and Canada.'
'Coded heart rate transmission:
The Polar T31 and T61 coded transmitters automatically lock in a code to transmit your heart rate to your wrist receiver. The receiver picks up your heart rate in coded transmission from your transmitter only. Coding significantly reduces interference from other heart rate monitors. All environmental interference, however, is not totally eliminated.'
Thanks. I'll look into this.
